André identifies as a Christian bi-sexual male. Vocationally, he is earning his PhD in social work at the University of Houston. Reared in the Black Church, André recently completed a summer intensive on sexual and gender minority health and wellbeing and attended the LBGTQ Health Conference in Chicago. André will share his takeaways from both events while sharing the importance for faith communities to engage in the health and well-being of all peoples.
