World AIDS Day 2023

December 1, 2023 11am

As you are aware, December 1 is World AIDS Day around the globe. While it began as a day to grieve those who died of AIDS, the day is now dedicated to advocate for quality healthcare, dignity for all, and a medical cure. This year, the SC Christian Action Council is the official host of the state’s observation of World AIDS Day at the SC State House, and we are thrilled to partner with SC DHEC. Our focus is the intersection of HIV and human trafficking.

We simply ask that clergy show up wearing the clerical collar in solidarity and to support of creating a safe space for all during the 25-minute press conference. We will begin promptly at 11:00 am.  (If clergy choose not to wear a clergy shirt, they are still encouraged to attend.) Clergy are also invited to visit the displays, wear red ribbons, and take advantage of the resource tables.

All are welcome. Let us know you are coming by clicking here.
